Daniel O'Leary was the winner tonight in the NLH/PLO mix. O'Leary was ahead for most of heads up from what I could see, and this looks to be his first win on the PPT.
The Mix game is now over and Dylan Descheneaux had to settle for second place. I wasn't able to watch any of the action as the 8-Max game is still heads up.
They are heads up now after Nick Andreas hit the rail in third place. Daniel O'Leary looks to have the chip lead now over Dylan Descheneaux, but there's not that much between them.
They are down to three left in the Mix game now after Michael Malm hit the rail for 4th place money recently. I'm still focused on Event #4 with four players left, so I've only been watching this one from across the room with no eyes on the action.
They are in the money in the Mix game with the first payout already going to Andy Truong when he got his money in against big-stack Dylan Descheneaux and his ace-nine couldn't get there against pocket jacks for Descheneaux.
Descheneaux looks to have the chip lead right now, but Daniel O'Leary isn't that far behind. Nick Andreas and Michael Malm are the other two players rounding out the final four players in this one.
They are down to 7 left in the Mix game now with action in Level 15. The prizes are in with 53 total entries meaning five players will get paid with the winner set to pocket $5,650. Full payouts will be in the Payouts tab shortly.
They are now playing in Leve 7 and entries will be open in this game until the end of the break following Level 9. That puts the last chance to enter just under an hour away now, but there is also a satellite running alongside the two other events tonight for players to jump into as well.
The NLH/PLO Mix game is in Level 4 now with 24 entries on the board and 20 players at the felt. That puts the prizes at $6,840 right now, but there are still about 2 hours left to enter the game, so that number is sure to grow substantially.
The action is now underway in the NLH/PLO mix game now. Level 1 is just underway with two cards in front of each player for this level and all subsequent odd-numbered levels, while Level 2 and the even levels will have four cards being dealt.
There are 12 entries on the bard to start the day, and among the players in early are Raphael "Raph Raph" Verdugo, fresh from his recent Irish Open experiences, as well as Debi Loomer, Pete Fylyma, Juss Viet, Andre Benoit, Greg Genge (who rarely misses a four-card game here in Calgary), Stefan Maloney, PLO Bracelet and Ring winner Jerry Li, Barry Frey, and Andy Truong.
Event #5: $340 NLH/PLO Mix ($300 + $40)
Wed, Apr 10 - 5 PM
Starting Stack: 25k
Blinds: 20 Min
Late Entry: 9 Levels (~8:30 PM)
The side game tonight is the classic NLH/PLO mix game, though with a bit of a switch-up. With a start time of 5 PM, this will be a turbo event with a slightly larger stack than usual but 20-minute blinds instead of the more typical 30.
Players sit down with 25k and they'll have 9 levels of poker to rebuy a stack if needed, or jump in late. That should put the final entry shot at about 8:30 PM tonight.
I'll likely be focusing on Event #4 for most of the day Wednesday, but I'll move to this one once E4 awards it's trophy later tonight.
