The Turbo game is done now and John Fornaro, in from California, took it down after chopping the money. They played it out for the trophy, and in the final hand, Fornaro took it down with a dominated ace.
It was a small one tonight in the turbo with 15 entries for $2,850 in prizes. That means first place will get $1,770 and 2nd will pocket $1,080.
They are down to 7 players left in the game now.
The Turbo game is underway now with five players in their seats. Entries are open for about 2 hours and 15 minutes now and since it looks like the High Roller isn't going to run this time around, I'll likely be covering the endgame of the Turbo later tonight.
Event #12: $230 Last Chance Turbo ($200 + $30)
Apr 14 - 7 PM
Starting Stack: 20k
Blinds: 20 Min
Late Entry: 6 Levels (~9:15 PM)
The final shot for a PPT trophy this series comes in Event #12: Last Chance Turbo. Action gets going at 7 pm Sunday night (Apr 14, not 15 as the structure sheet below says) and players will play 20-minute levels until a winner is decided.
Players get 20k in chips to start and they'll have 6 levels of poker, plus a break, to enter or rebuy. That should put the final chance to enter the game at about 9:15 PM tonight. This game likely won't get much coverage as I'll be focussed on the Main EVent and the High Roller, though I may make it over to this one at the end of the night.
