The Bounty game is over with the final hand coming near the start of Level 24. Hassan Issa had to come from behind to take this one down, though he wasn't at that much of a deficit when heads-up against Lee Clark began.
The TSN turning point came in a hand that saw Issa double to the lead shortly before the end of Level 23. He flopped two pair with six-five against a flopped deuce for Clark with his queen-deuce. The pot gave Issa a 3:1 lead at that point and while Clark did manage to claw some back, Issa never gave up the lead again.
It was just a few hands later when it all came down to a cooler. Issa was dominated with king-nine against ace-nine for Clark, but Issa found his king on the flop. That was all he needed as Clark missed the board and had to settle for second place. Issa also picked up seven bounties along the way for an extra $350 added to his win.
This was Issa's first live win and third-best score according to Hendon Mob. Tonight's win should push his lifetime earnings to a bit more than $23k (USD).
In the final hand, the money went in preflop and Lee Clark was in good shape for a double-up as he had ace-nine against king-nine for Hassan Issa. This is poker, however, and a "dominating hand" doesn't always survive. In this case, Issa found a king on the flop to take the lead and hold. Clark picked up just shy of $2k for his second place tonight.

Hassan Issa is now in the lead with about 1.2 million in front of him while Lee Clark is on about 400k. Issa just took down a big pot after I arrived with play on the river, the bard reading , and a pot of around 300k in the middle already.
Issa checked the river and Clark fired out a bet of 275k. Issa tanked for a bit before sliding out the call. Clark showed for a flopped pair, but the
two pair for Issa was best.

John Reitmeyer and Robert Nilsson were the first two players to exit the Bounty game in the money. Reitmeyer got a min-cash of $580 while Nilsson pocketed $740 for 7th place.
They are now in the money on the Bounty game with 8 players left after Trevor Simpson hit the rail in 9th place on the money bubble tonight. Simspon has been having a rough time of things lately with a lot of min-cashes and bubble spots.
They are down to 10 players left in the Bounty side game now, just one away from the final table and two away from the money spots. It looks like this event will get to the final table while Event #1 is still finishing, so I'm unsure if I'll have much time to watch this one.
Pete Fylyma just hit big to stay alive in a three-way all in that saw another player hit the rail. Fylyma managed to crack pocket kings with after he flopped a diamond draw and rivered his ace.
They are down to 23 players left in the Bounty now with Level 13 just about to start. Among the players still alive in this one are Juss Viet, Ryan Comely, Kelly Gall, Andy Truong, DJ Sharma, Pete Fylyma, Qingwei Meng, and Trecor Smith.
There are 27 players left in the Bounty game now on the final three tables. There are just over 10 minutes left in Level 12 with the next break scheduled in a little over an hour.
The numbers are now confirmed at 80 entries for the Bounty game tonight putting the total prizes at $15,200 with $4k of that set aside for the bounties and $11,200 in prizes for the top 8. Full prize details can be found under the Payouts tab, but the winner later tonight can expect to pocket $3,070 while the min-cash will be worth $580.
Entries are now closed on the Bounty game with Level 10 just underway. The final tally on the clock is 80 entries, but I'm still waiting for confirmation of that number. If it holds, they'll be playing for a total of $11,200 in prizes with $4,000 in the bounty pool for total prizes of $15,200.
There are about 15 minutes left in Level 7 which puts the end of entries just over an hour away now. There are 63 entries on the board at the moment for almost $12k in total prizes with $3.150 of that reserved for bounties.
The field for the Bounty side game is nearing 50 entries now with 42 players in their seats. Level 4 is nearly complete now with entries still open for a bit less than 2 hours.
The total prizes now are $9,120 with $2,400 in bounties and $6,720 in the prize pool for the top 10% later.
They are nearing three full tables of players now with the bounty field up to 25 entries and 24 players still alive. That puts the combined prizes near $5k with $3,500 of that in the prize pool.
The action at the reg-desk still looks pretty fierce as well, so the numbers should keep growing fairly quickly.
Event #2 is now underway alongside the 6-Max game in Meridian Central. There are 15 players in the game to start and a lineup at the entry desk now, so this is looking like a decent start for games in Calgary. Just a quick note - the prizes in the sidebar will be the total prize pool including bounties.
Event #2: $230 Bounty ($150 + $50 + $30)
Tue, Apr 9 - 5 PM
Starting Stack: 20k
Blinds: 20 Min
Late Entry: 9 Levels (~8:30 PM)
The opening day is jam-packed for PPT #2 this year with three open events on the schedule. The second event to kick off in the series will be a bounty game for $230 with $150 to the prize pool and $50 bounties.
The action kicks off at 5 pm with players sitting down to 20k in chips. Blinds increase every 20 minutes and players have 9 levels to enter or rebuy in this one. That should put the final chance to get into the game at about 8:30 PM.
This is a one-day event and should finish sometime late Tuesday night. I may be able to catch the end-game of this one, but my main focus for the day will be Event #1, so this game won't get much focus until after the opening 6-Max crowns a champion.
