Today at noon, 118 players returned for Day 3 of the €1,100 Kings of Tallinn Main Event. After 13 hours of intense poker, only 11 still had chips to bag up for the final day. Putting the most chips into his bag was Lithuania's Edgaras Kausinis, ending up with 4,600,000 of them, good for 77 big blinds at the start of Day 4. Kausinis has not played much live poker, but recently won the €1,100 High Roller at Ace Breaker Vilnius as his breakout performance, and is looking to add a second trophy at the Main Event in Tallinn.
In hot pursuit of Kausinis is Aleksi Naski, who bagged 4,230,000 chips. The Finn has known countless deep runs at Olympic Park Casino since 2019 and is looking to achieve an incredible feat as making the final table would mean he did so back-to-back, having finished in sixth place at the Kings of Tallinn Main Event last year. Swedish veteran Greger Aktell, whose first recorded cash stems from 2005, rounds at the top three stacks with 3,725,000 chips.
Other players who made it through to the final day include ex-Olympic Poker Manager and last Estonian standing Herli Olop (2,120,000), British high roller Paul Newey (1,565,000), and winner of last year's Kings of Tallinn €550 Championship Benjamin Gros (1,365,000).

However, before the end of the day was reached, 107 players had to say their goodbyes. As the field had reached the money the day before, there was no shortage of all-ins, and Jari Mahonen, Jon Martinez, Thomas Haverstad, Ilari Sahamies, Max Sanders, and Andrius Bielskis were all eliminated before dinner time had even arrived. Meanwhile, players such as Sebastian Wahl and Roope Tarmi did not make it to the three-table redraw, while Kaido Mikk was the final casualty of the day in 12th place.
The 11 remaining players have all locked up at least €10,500 of the €859,160 prize pool, but all eyes will be on the gargantuan €151,860 first-place prize. Play will resume tomorrow at noon local time, with the cards-up stream on OlyBet.tv and the live report being on a 30-minute security delay. Blinds will restart at Level 27: 30,000/60,000 with a 60,000 big blind ante and all levels will last for 60 minutes.
Check back in then to find who takes home the Kings of Tallinn Main Event trophy as the premier Baltic poker festival concludes.

Two poker legends in Henri Kasper (pictured below) and Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies tangled up in a hand resulting in Kasper losing his stack. Kasper opened from late position and was called by Sahamies from the big blind.
Sahamies check-raised the flop before he called a shove of around 15 big blinds by Kasper.
Henri Kasper:
Ilari Sahamies:
It was a strong hand for Kasper with top two pair but he needed a four outer or some runner-runner magic to survive against Sahamies's flopped straight. Neither the turn nor the
river provided any relief and Kasper hit the rail in 67th place.

As we mentioned a couple of times already, all four players from the team Four of a Kind Jari's were in the mix on today's penultimate day of the Main Event.
However, none of the Jari's lasted long as three of them were on the rail within the first hour leaving just the short-stacked Jari Saviaho as their potential savior.
Saviaho was all in from the big blind before the cards were dealt. Luca Beretta min-raised from middle position and the rest of the table folded.
Jari Saviaho:
Luca Beretta:

Cards are in the air for Day 3 of the Main Event. Best of luck to all of the players.
The Main Event players have arrived and are in the process of unbagging their chips or in the case of Christian "Sleeping Beauty" Rysgaard he is unbagging a single chip of 1,000.
The action should start near on time with most players already in their seats. Best of luck to all of the Day 3 players.
The action will get hotter and more serious on Saturday in the 2024 Kings of Tallinn Main Event with the record-breaking field of 914 entries down to 118 players after yesterday's action ended when the money bubble broke.
Returning players are each guaranteed €2,100 with payouts jumping up fast from there until tomorrow's eventual winner walks away with the beautiful trophy and the €151,860 top prize.
Finland's Jani Vilnumen (pictured above) will kick off the day in the captain's chair after ending Day 2 with a huge stack of 968,000. Vilmunen has been in this spot before as he is a well-experienced pro with nearly $900,000 in cashes tracked at The Hendon Mob. The Finn also won a WSOP Europe in the £5,250 Pot Limit Omaha back in 2009.
Meanwhile, Lithuania's Mantas Tamulevicius fired his very first bullet on Day 2 and waited until the very last second to start the day with 12 big blinds. He made the most of his decision as he catapulted his 30,000 stack to 777,000 to finish just behind Vilmunen.
Kasper Mellanen (757,000), Osku Karttunen (654,000), and 2024 Kings of Tallinn €555 Championship runner-up Andrius Bielskis (600,000) round out the top five.
Olympic poker manager Herli Olop (530,000), Maximilian Sanders (502,000), Steven Tool (400,000), OG online poker legend Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies (381,000), Josep Pastor (373,000), 2023 WSOP Circuit Tallinn Main Event champ Ignacio Garrido (357,000), Dominik Ostrowski (313,000), Tarmo Tammel (291,000), 2023 Kings of Tallinn €555 Championship winner Benjamin Gros (235,000), super high roller Paul Newey (219,000), 2024 Kings of Tallinn €555 PLO Mystery Bounty champ Paul Koppe (213,000), and Roope Tarmi (167,000) are jus some of the names to look out for with many other notable players still in the mix.
Our new hero Christian Rysgaard began Day 2 with the chip lead but needs to pull off some magic as he will begin Day 3 with exactly one chip worth 1,000.
The plan for Day 3 is to play down to a final table of nine players. Players should be prepared for a longer day than what they experienced during the opening flights and Day 2.
Our coverage begins when cards are in the air at 12 p.m. Best of luck to all of the remaining players in their hunt for Kings of Tallinn glory!
