King "Ning" Wang emerged the winner of the PLO game tonight after a dominating performance at the final table. He had the big stack for most of the FT, and was not only playing well but running hot.
He was behind in the final hand before the flop with his against an ace-queen-seven-six for runner up Don McCall but that all changed on the
flop as Wang hit the straight. Wang was pretty excited with his first Ring, and he's looking forward to the Tournament of Champions freeroll this summer.
The PLO game is in the books now after a short heads up between King Wang and Don McCall. McCall was ahead preflop with ace-queen-seven-six against king-ten-four-three but Wang flopped a straight with his four-three on and held for the win.
They are heads up now after Huang Zeyu, who had been short for a while, found ace-king-ten-four and got his money in. He ran into nine-nine-queen-five for King W. King flopped a set of nines and turned the boat to send Zeyu to the rail.

I missed most of the action as I am doing the final work for E3 at the moment, but Dylan Descheneaux just hit the rail in sixth for $4,639 after a huge straight versus nut flush. Edward Courage folded a straight flush draw on the flop, and it would have hit had he stayed in the hand.

Edward Courage just grabbed a double through Don McCall in dramatic fashion. it was ace-ace-ten-five for McCall against king-king-ten-four for Courage. The money went in on the flop. Both players connected with the
turn but it didn't change the hands, but the
river smashed Courage and gave him the double to survive.
They are down to 7 players left now after King W limped under the gun, then potted to put Nicholas Lee all in after Lee came over the top to 180k. Lee called but his ace-king-queen-six was looking for help against king-king-queen-nine for King. There was an ace on the flop, but King spiked his king at the same time and Lee hit the rail in 8th place.

Don McCall raised under the gun and Dylan Descheneaux called from the middle. Big blind Nicholas Lee also came along to the flop of .
Lee checked to McCall who fired 200k. Descheneaux counted out a bet of 775k, enough to put McCall all in with a call. Lee quickly got out of the way while McCall took a while to find the muck to save himself a small stack. Descheneaux showed top pair and a club draw as he collected the pot.

In the final hand of Level 22, Abe Shawile hit the rail when he raised the middle to 60k, then shoved a small stack over Huang Zeyu's small blind raise to 150k. Zeyu called, and his ace-queen-queen-nine was ahead of the jack-jack-five-five double-paired hand for Shawile, and the queens held on a board of .

Sage Brocklebank opened to 65k from the middle, King W called from the cutoff, Abe Shawile called from the button, and Don McCall also came along from the big blind.

Cuong Nguyen bubbled the final two tables tonight in 19th place to set up the final two tables for Event #2.
They are down to 19 players now, one away from the final two tables. Tyler Hurman, Leo Zhang, and Jeff "Ironman" Charlebois were the most recent exits from the four-card field.

There are still 34 players left in the game, waiting for the next bustout to put them in the money. They've played about 15 hands during the hand-for-hand pause and there are now 14 minutes remaining in Level 15, though they are removing two minutes manually for each hand dealt.
The final 34 players are back from their dinner break now with action in Level 15. The clock is still paused as they are still one off the money, but there are now 22 minutes left in Level 15.

The players are now on the dinner break with the end of Level 14 and action is still hand-for-hand to the money as they break. They'll be back in action in just over 40 minutes from now and the bubble action will continue then.
They are still on the bubble with two more hands remaining before the dinner break and it looks like Mike Flanagan and Angelo Jopek are the current leaders with out 500k each while Dylan Descheneaux and Sage Brocklebank (who won the PLO Bounty game here in May last year) are playing stacks in the 300k range.

The PLO game is about to go hand-for-hand to the money with the field now at 34. They are just finishing the current hand before the clock is paused for the bubble. There are just over 10 minutes remaining in Level 14 so it looks like they'll get in at least 5 hands before dinner.
There are just under 25 minutes remaining until the dinner break, and they are now three eliminations away from the money spots. It still seems likely they'll hit 33 players before the dinner break, but it's possible they'll still be on the bubble then.
They are down to 38 players left in the PLO game with just over 5 minutes to play in Level 13. That puts them five players off the money spots now.
They'll play one more level following this one before the dinner break and it seems likely the bubble will burst shortly before the dinner break.
The numbers are in and the field is confirmed at 217 entries with 33 paid spots. The first player to collect cash tonight will get $950 for 33rd place with the winner set to pocket more than $26k. The final nine players will be sharing in more than $81k in prizes tonight. Prize pool info is currently updated under the Payouts tab.
The field is down to 43 players now playing on 5 tables. The prizes are nearly ready to be published so we should know shortly how much players can expect to pocket after the next 10 eliminations.
The field is down to 47 players left now as Level 11 begins. That puts them 14 off the expected 33 paid spots for today, but I am still waiting on the prizes for official confirmation.
They are about 21 players off the expected money spots at the moment with 54 players left in the game and 33 paid spots expected. I am still waiting on the payouts to be posted to confirm the numbers so for now, all of this is still unofficial.
Level 11 has just begun and the final tally on the board as entries closed was 217. That puts the prizes at just under $112k with 33 players getting a dip in that pool, assuming the numbers hold. I'll confirm the numbers once the prizes are posted.
Among the players I've spotted lately today are Stefan Maloney, Mike Kim, Dylan Payne, and Sage Brocklebank, who won his first Circuit ring here last May in the $400 PLO Bounty game.
There are just under 2 minutes to play in Level 10 and once players return from the break following this level, entries for the PLO game will be closed. Right now, the prizes are at $111,240 with 216 entries. I'll update the official numbers once the prizes are posted shortly.
Level 10 is just beginning and this will be the final level of play to get into today's game. That means there are about 45 minutes left to register or reenter.
There are now 211 entries with prizes at $108,665.
The earlier rush on entries has slowed a bit in the PLO today with the current field at 204 entries. There is pretty much exactly an hour left to buy into the game today so it seems likely we'll see a few more entries at least.
The players are on a break following the end of Level 8 with the entries at 200 right now. There will be two more levels of entry when they return to the felt in about 8 minutes with the desk shutting down for this event at about 4:45 pm at the start of Level 11.
The prize pool just capped $100,000 with 195 entries on the board and about five minutes remaining in Level 8. DJ Sharma just grabbed his first stack of the day a few minutes ago while Tyler Hurman and Kurtis Ruhl have also been spotted in the field today.
The prizes are up to more than $98k now with just over ten minutes remaining in Level 8. There will be a break following this level, then two more levels of poker before the end of entries in about one hour and 45 minutes from now.
I've just realized I forgot where I was and the prizes are actually a bit bigger than previously reported. For events at Deerfoot, the charity and house fees aren't taken out of the prizes but rather out of the fees, so for a $515 + $85 game like today's, the full $515 goes to prizes. That means the prizes are already over $91k and climbing.
Just over 20 minutes are remaining in Level 7 with the field up to 177 entries now. That puts the prizes at $86,597 and climbing. Entries are still open for a bit more than 2 hours so a field of 200+ seems almost certain at this point.
The field is now up to 172 entries, just 2 entries away from a prize pool of more than $85k. Among the more recent entries was Shane Brotherwood wile Mal Hagan is looking to fire another bullet.
The room is full of regulars today, including the winner of last night's opening event of the series, Dongwoo "David" Ko. Along with Ko, I spotted Zenni Petros, Don McCall, Nicholas Lee, Norm Bourque, Deven Lane, Leo Leclerc, Mal Hagan, Karim Chatur, HUang Zeyu, WSOP Ring and Bracelet winner Jerry Li, Thomas Taylor, Dylan Descheneaux, Ryan "Rybo" Smith, and Mehmet Ali S???nç.
There are now 163 entries on the board at the end of Level 5 with 91 players still alive at the tables. That puts the prizes at $79,748 and climbing with just under 3 hours left to get into the game.
The players are on their first break of the day now after four levels of action. The current field is up to 140 entries for a prize pool of #,##0","3":1},"9":0,"17":1}" data-sheets-formula="=RC

">$68,495 with just under 100 players in their seats. Entries are open until the start of Level 11, which should be about 4:45 pm.
With action in Level 3 there are more than 100 entries on the board now. The 111 total entries so far have combined for prizes of close to $55k now with 90 players still alive fighting for a piece of that much later today.
Among the players I've spotted so far in the crowd today is Greg Genge, who is a regular at PLO events locally, as well as Ron Lauzon. Julius Roque, Leo Zhang, and Kirk Nilson.
