Event #4: $250 Team ($220 + $30)
Feb 17 - 6:30 pm
Entries: 54
Prize Pool: $11,286
Winners: Kyle Strap / Ryan Strap ($3,326)
It was a first for me, at least as far as I know. When the Team game got heads up last night, both remaining teams were composed of identical twin brothers playing with each other.
In the end, it was the younger set of brothers, Kyle and Ryan Strap, who took down the biggest prize after a two-way battle that went on for more than two levels.
The whole game took about nine hours from start to finish and heads up was a battle that either team could have won. Runner-up twins Keith and Kim Graham got heads up with the disadvantage after the Strap brothers sent Antoine & Duke to the rail in 3rd place.
They actually managed to chip back up into the lead shortly before the final hand was played, but it was close, and when they got into the final hand, the Grahams were ahead for what would have amounted to a massive double for most of the chips, but the Straps got there with their jack to take it all down.
It's all over now after twins Kyle and Ryan Strap took down twins Keith and Kim Graham in a heads-up battle that lasted for almost three levels. In the final hand, the Straps got it in behind, but spiked a jack on the flop and held for the win.
The game is over now. After a few hands where the Grahams raised, then folded to shoves from the Straps, the lead switched and it all went in when Kyle Strap shoved and got the call.
for the Graham brothers was ahead of
for the Straps, but a jack on the flop flipped the script and the Grahams had to settle for 2nd place.
The binds have just moved up to 20k/40k/40k and the Graham brothers still look to have the lead, but there have been very few showdown hands or even hands that made it past the flop.
They are still heads up in the Team game, and it looks like the Graham brothers have the lead now after some small pots went their way. Blinds are now 15k/30k/30k.
The Strap brothers (Kyle & Ryan) are the chip leaders heads up now with the blinds at 15k/25k/25k. They are playing about 700k to around 350k for the Graham brothers.
In perhaps a first for my reporting career, the Team game has come down to two sets of identical twins heads up. Both teams say they are identical twins, with both reporting one twin is about 5 minutes older than the other. The final two teams are now on a break and will be back in a few minutes to finish it out. The only real difference is that the Strap brothers are a little younger than the Graham brothers, but I'm pretty sure this is the first time I covered a team heads up that came down to two sets of identical twins.
The team game is heads up now after Antoine & Duke flopped two pair with a dominated queen and got the call from Ryan & Kyle. While the all-in pair had the best of it when the money went in, the board ran out to a straight for the Strap brothers and they are now heads up with Keith & Kim.
They are a bit less than 10 minutes away from the next break, and the stacks are pretty much even now after the recent double for Antoine & Duke.
Keith & Kim raised to 45k, then called off when Antoine & Duke shoved for 124k. They were ahead with against
for Keith & Kim and the ace came on the flop to send them the double.
They are down to 3 teams left alive now after Geronimo & Lynne got their money in with a suited, but dominated, ace. The Strap brothers called from the button with ace-king into the ace-jack of hearts, and the king hit the flop to bring the game to three left.

It looks like Keith & Kim are playing the big stack right now with around 400k, almost half the chips in play.
It was a race between the Canadian aces (99) for Brent & Arman against the ace-king for Keith & Kim. There was a king on the flop to send the slick to the lead and held for the win.
Kris Steinbach was at the table when all the chips went in. He and Ryan Cairns had a rough couple of rounds, having recently doubled up Brent & Arman, and Steinbach ended up all in against Geronimo & Lynne. Steinback had nine-six against ace-five of spades and the ace held for the win.
Nolan & Dave just hit the rail for the 7th place bubble spot and collected a few hundred dollars for their troubles. That puts the rest of the field in the official money now with everyone remaining now guaranteed at least $1,130.
The final seven teams agreed to a bubble deal that saw $50 from each team go into a pool for 7th place so, technically, they are now in the money, though the official pay spots are still one elimination away.
Jared & Travis just hit the rail in 8th place to bring the game down to the money bubble with 7 teams left. Right now it looks like the Strap brothers (Kyle & Ryan) are the leaders with more than 200k in front of them. The average stack is about 154k for roughly 15 big blinds.
They are two off the money now with 8 teams left in action.

They are on the final table bubble now in the Team game with 10 teams left and about 5 minutes to play in Level 15.
I'm over at the Team game now and there are 11 Teams still in the game, fighting for 6 paid spots. Level 15 has just begun and they'll play until the end of Level 20 before the next break.
The average stack right now is just shy of 100k which works out to a bit more than 15 big blinds right now.
The Team prizes are in and 6 players will be sharing $11,286 in prizes. The winning team later tonight will pocket $3,326 - See the Payouts tab for a full look at the prizes for later.
The entries for the Team game are now closed with 54 entries on the board. That is still an unofficial number but if it holds 6 teams will be sharing in $11,286 in prizes. There are now 37 teams left in the game which is now essentially a freezeout from here to the end.
The Team game now has 49 entries on the board for a prize pool of $9,823. Level 6 has about 15 minutes remaining, so there are about 45 minutes left to enter this game.
The Team game is up to 38 entries now for almost $8k in prizes. Entries are still open for more than 90 minutes, so it's likely that number will climb and the game could easily cap 50 entries by the time it closes.
The Team event is now underway in the poker room with 31 teams in the mix to start the game. Entries are open for about 2.5 hours still, so this could be a big one.
Event #4: $250 Team ($220 + $30)
Feb 17 - 6:30 pm
Blinds: 20 Min
Start Stack: 20,000
Late Entry: 7 Levels (~9:05 pm)
The main game on the schedule for Saturday is Day 1b of the Mystery Bounty but there will be some Team fun to be had later in the day. Starting at 6:30 pm, the game has 7 levels of late entry. That should put the final chance to jump into the game at about 9:05 pm when the break following Level 7 concludes.
Teams will sit down with 20,000 in chips and players will alternate every blind level. However, as an added twist to the game, each team will have three (3) "Switch Tickets" which can be played at any time between hands. By playing a Switch Ticket, the team can switch players mid-round and that new player will finish the level and stay in for the next level as well. Extra Switch Tickets will be available at the final table.
Blinds will move up every 20 minutes throughout the night, and they'll be crowning a champion before the game ends. I won't have eyes on this game in the early running as I'll be following the final flight of the Mystery Bounty, but once that game bags for the day and I have all the data entered, I'll move over to finish the Team event before I hit the sack.
