The bags have been collected and there are 29 players left in the action for Day 2 on Tuesday. The Day 2 stacks are in the Chip Counts section now, and I'll add post the seat assignments for Day 2 on my opening post.
Prizes for the players who cashed here in Day 1 are in the Payouts tab, as well as below in table form.

Day 1 is complete and the bags are coming out. It looks like there will be 29 players coming back for Day 2, but I'll confirm that number once the bags are collected.
There are just 15 minutes left in Day 1 now with 30 players still alive. Full prizes to 31st place are posted in the Payouts tab.
They are into the final level of Day 1 now with 35 players left in the game. The prizes are updated under the payouts tab, but Ryan Smith, Skyler York (who was 3rd in Event #2 earlier in the series), and Hasanain Al Ghunaim were the busts so far.
They are now in the money with 38 players left now and just over 15 minutes to play in Level 14. There were three hands during the bubble play before Thomas Taylor lost to a dominated ace to burst the bubble.
The game is now hand-for-hand with 39 players left. The first hand is being played with 22:01 remaining in Level 14 and two minutes will be manually taken from the clock for each hand until the next elimination.
They are two players off the money now with 40 players left alive in the $1k. With Level 14 just beginning, it looks like they'll be well into the money when the bags come out at the end of Level 15.
They are now 10 off the money spots with 48 players remaining and 38 paid spots. There are just under 30 minutes to play in Level 13, so it's looking more and more likely that they'll be in the money when they bag later tonight.
Level 13 will begin with a table break as the field is down to 54 left now. That puts them 16 off the money with three levels to play before the bags come out.
There are still 63 players on the board as they head out for the final break of Day 1. The bags will come out at the end of the Level 15 for whoever is left, and at this point, it's looking like an even bet as to whether they'll be in the money when they bag or not.
They are 25 players away from the money spots now with 63 players left in the action now. Level 12 has just under 25 minutes to play and they'll take their final break of Day 1 after this level. There are three more levels to play today after the break before they bag up for the night.
They are down to 72 players left now with Level 11 halfway complete. That puts them 34 off the money spots, so it's looking more and more likely that some of the min-cash spots may get claimed tonight before they bag as there are still 4 and a half levels of poker to play today.
The winner tomorrow is set to pocket nearly $50k from this, and 38 players will be sharing in the $217,875 in prizes. I'll have the full payouts entered in the backend shortly but meanwhile here is a look at them in table form.

They are down to 99 players left in the game now with Level 10 about halfway done. There are about 5 and a half levels of poker remaining in Day 1 and it's possible they'll hit the money before the end of today, but most likely the bubble will burst early on Day 2.
Level 10 is now underway with 249 unofficial entries on the board. If that number holds, it should mean 38 players are sharing $217,875 in prizes at the end of this one.
I'll confirm the numbers once the prizes are posted shortly.
The $1k players are just about to head out for their dinner break now, which means there are 45 minutes left to enter the game. The field now is up to 244 entries for prizes of $213,500, and right now, it looks like 37 players will be getting a piece of the prizes tomorrow. There is still time for the numbers to grow, however.
Level 9 has just begun, and this will be the final level to enter the game. Entries will be open through the dinner break following this level, with the field set in stone by the start of Level 10 at about 6:15 PM.
The current field is at 236 entries for prizes of $206,500.
They are now just shy of $200k in prizes with 228 entries on the board and about 10 minutes to play in Level 8. That puts them ahead of May 2023 by a few entries, and it looks certain the prizes will end up over $200k as the next entry will push them over the edge.
There are 223 entries on the board for the $1k now with about 20 minutes to play in Level 8. That means they are just one entry away from tying May 2023 with about 1 hour and 45 minutes left to get into this one.
The field is up to 219 entries now, which is just 5 short of the 2023 total for May. There are still 10 minutes to play in Level 7, and two more levels of poker, plus the dinner break, before entries close, so beating May 2024 looks like a lock now.
The players are just back from their second break of the day and Level 7 is now underway. There are now 208 entries on the board for prizes of $182k and with about 2 hours and 45 minutes left to enter the game, it still looks on pace to break last May's field of 224.
The winner of the NLH/PLO mix, Julius Roque, is among the players in the mix today, and joining him in the field is Amir Khan, Zeyu "Skytrain" Huang (who was one of the players at the E3 final table last night), Allan Shen, Stephen Dauphinais, Eric Wasylenko (who has gone back-to-back Main Events this year on another local tour), Deven Lane, Ryan Cairns. David Ko, DV, Hassan Al Ghunaim, Tyler Thomas, Brian "BA" Anderson, Ross Wilson, and Rob Lothian, who was 5th in this event this past January.
They just hit 200 entries in the $1k with 20 minutes to play in Level 6. There are still a bit more than 3 hours to get into the game, and last May saw 224 entries for prizes of $196k so it looks like a reasonable bet now for this one to beat last May's numbers.
A few of the other players I've spotted in the field include Duston Caulderwood, Tang Jooce, who was on the final table of the 4-Flight yesterday and took 5th place, Qinwei Meng, Colten Yamagishi, Dustin Centanni, Thomas Taylor, and Sunny Lubana.
They are now 9 entries away from 200 with 191 on the board and 147 players still in the action. Level 6 has just begun and they'll take a break following this level before they return for three more levels of late entry.
I was late to the floor today after a very late night last night, but with about half of Level 5 yet to play, the Day 1 field is now ay 186. That puts the prizes at $162,750 so far, with just under four hours to get into the game.
As expected, there are a lot of familiar players in the field, including Brett Worton, Jason Heang, Debi Loomer, Shannon Lazorko, Andy Truong, Keagan Ballard, Takuma Bergeron, Shawn Caron, Jerry Li, Skler York, Qingwei Meng, Tyler Hurman, Daniel Lefebvre, and DJ Sharma, who made the final two tables of the Black Chip Bounty last night. I'll add a few more names later.
Date: May 6, 2024, 11 AM
Start Stack: 30,000
Blinds: 40 Min
Late Entry: 9 Levels (~6:15 PM)
Day 1: 15 Levels (~10:30 PM)
The Two-Day $1k is typically one of the more popular events on the schedule with last May's edition getting nearly $200k in prizes. This year's edition kicks off at 11 AM on Monday morning with players getting 30k in chips for their $1,000 buy-in. Blinds are 40 minutes long throughout the day and players will have 9 levels to get into the game.
That should mean the last chance to enter will be at about 6:15 PM, and after entries close, they'll play another 4 hours before they bag up for the night, around 10:30 PM. This game should be my focus for Monday, but I may not make it to the floor for the beginning of the tournament.
