Zeyu 'Skytrain' Huang was the only player on 1d to bag more than a million chips, but Romualdo Cusano wasn't too far away with 979k while Michael Baldwin bagged 801k for third place.

They are down to 22 left now in 1d after Thomas Taylor hit the rais for 23rd place. That leaves them just one player off the end of the night with Level 18 just underway.
Leo Leclerc was the most recent casualty from 1d for 24th place, leaving them just two eliminations off the end of the day with just over five minutes to play in Level 17.
They are down to 24 players left now with just over 10 minutes to play in Level 17. That means they are only three eliminations away from the money spots. Paul Sokoloff, and DNR player, and Ryan Down are the recent busts.
There was a discrepancy on the payouts but it's been resolved now. Most of the earliest cahses were correct but some positions have changed slightly in the list below.

It doesn't look like Day 1d will go too much longer once players return from their break for Level 17. They are down to 29 left now and the bags will come out at 21. It seems likely that they'll play most of Level 17 at least but I'll be surprised if they make it as far as the end of Level 18.
There are just over 10 minutes remaining in Level 16 now with 33 players left in the game. That puts them 12 off the end of the night at 21 players and they have four scheduled levels after this one to get there.

I went for a quick dinner and when I returned they were already in the money in Day 1d. The field is down to 57 remaining now, but there is a line at the payout desk, so things are moving quickly. So far, Haven Taylor, Antonio Ma, Fred Parsons, Baowei Sun, and Fred Werezak have collected payouts with more to come shortly.
The dinner break is nearly over and there are 75 players returning to action in Level 13. That puts them 13 off the money spots for tonight, so it looks like the bubble play will start near the end of this level or the start of Level 14.
They are down to 81 players left in 1d now with players heading out for dinner. They'll be back in action in Level 13 in about 45 minutes, with 19 players to go until the money spots.
There are just under 15 minutes to go in Level 12 with the dinner break scheduled at the end of this level. They are down to 90 players left in the game so there will still be a way to go till the bubble once they return from dinner.
1d is now down to less than 100 players left alive now with just over 5 minutes to play in Level 11. They'll go for dinner at the end of Level 12, and when they return from dinner there are 8 more levels on the schedule for today. The day will end early if they hit 21 players before the end of Level 20 and at this point, it looks like an even bet as to which endpoint will kick in.
The Day 2 prizes have been released, but they are based on the assumption that today's flight plays down to 21 players. For the time being, I'm not going to publish them until we get confirmation that they are official, but regardless of the finish tonight, it looks like 1st place tomorrow should be set to pocket at least $58k. If they play down to 21 today, then 57 players will be returning tomorrow with the min-cash spots starting at $1,374.
The Day 1d payouts are now up and the 1d field is confirmed at 412 for 1,101 in total across all four flights. Players will start getting paid tonight at 62nd place, and at least 21 players will bag up at the end of the night.

Level 10 has just begun and they are down to 135 players left alive. Among the players still in the game today are Lorne Voth, Sunny Lubana Allen Shen, Kali Shuali, Fay Barker, Jordan Banfield, Shane Brotherwood, Claire Leclerc, and Zeyu "Skytrain" Huang.
The ya re down to 162 players left in Flight 1d now with a bit more than 15 minutes to play in Level 9. They'll go for a dinner break following Level 12 and then return to play until the end of Level 20, or they hit 21 players, whichever comes first.4
Day 1d and Day 2 prizes should be out shortly and I'll confirm all the numbers then.
Entries are now closed for the 4-Flight and the unofficial total for 1d was 412 entries. That means the total field size hit 1,101 for total prizes of $363,330.
While those numbers are still yet to be confirmed, if they hold it will mean 62 players get a piece of the prize money from today, with at least 21 advancing to Day 2 on Sunday.
Level 8 is coming to a close and that means there are just 15 minutes to get into the game. 1d is over 400 entries and the total field is nearing 1,100.
The 4-Flight game is into the final level of entries now so there is about 45 minutes to get into this game. The total field is now 21 away from 1,100 and the 1d field is 10 away from 400 total entries.
The total field size for E3 is now up to 1,073 so they are inching ever closer to 1,100 total entries. This year is already more than 100 entries above last year, and with 45 minutes still left to enter, it looks like 1,100 isn't out of the question.
There is about an hour left to get into the game still, and the prize pool just capped $350k with 1,064 entries in total across all four flights. Day 1d has 375 entries alone now, and it looks like a decent bet to flirt with 400 before entries close at the start of Level 9. There are now about 15 minutes remaining in Level 7, and they'll take another break following Level 8 before entries close for good on the 4-Flight.
The 4-flight field is now up to 1,031 for prizes of $340,230. With about 90 minutes left to enter the game, it looks possible the prize pool will crack $350k, though that would require another 28 entries before the beginning of Level 9. There are about 10 minutes remaining in Level 6 at the moment.
Level 6 is just beginning with the total field up to 1,015 and prizes of $334,950. Toby Wu, Michael Smith, Doug Lee, Shane Brotherwood, and Thomas Taylor are among the players I've spotted in the field today.
The 4-Flight field just capped 1,000 entries with 315 on the board now for Day 1d. That also pushes the prize pool over $330k with just under two hours to go in registration.
Day 1d just hit 300 entries for a total of 989 across all four flights so far. That puts the combined prizes at $326,370 with more than 2 hours left to get into this one. Among the other players I've spotted today in the mix are Antoine Saddleback, Kim Pham, Juss Viet, Stephen Dauphinais, Matt Kwong, Teo Sanchez, and Ryan Smith, but that is still FAR from a comprehensive list.
The break following Level 4 is about to begin and the four-flight field is now ahead of last May's numbers with 972 total now. It looks pretty certain at this point that they'll end up with more than 1,000 entries, as they are less than 30 away from that now with 2.5 hours left to enter. While previous flights have tended to slow considerably as late entry ends, given this is the last chance for a bag in this event, it seems likely the reentries will be brisk right up until the final moment.
With 972 entries, the prizes now are a bit more than $320k.
Level 4 has just begun and the 1d field is now up to 259 entries for 948 in total. That puts the prizes at $312,840 with about 3 hours left to enter the game.
At this point, beating last May's 964 seems like a lock, and the 4-day field could flirt with 1,000 entries by the start of Level 9 tonight.
The field is up to 928 now across all four starting flights. Last May, this event saw a total of 964 entries so this year looks to be on pace to break that total with entries still open for more than 3 hours.
So far, I haven't had a good look around the room yet, but as expected, there are a lot of familiar faces out there today. For an early list, from my spot behind the computer, I can see Nicholas Peterson, Phil Wright, Dave Howat, Zeyu "Skytrain" Huang, Hari Aujla, and Claire Leclerc. Leclerc was among the players to cash in yesterday's flight 1b.
The action for Day 1d is now in Level 3 with the field already up to 229 entries. That puts the total field up to 918 across all four days so far for $302,940 in prizes.
Date: Day 1a/c: May 2/3, 2024, 4 PM, Day 1b/d: May 3/4, 2024, 11AM
Start Stack: 20,000
Blinds: 30 Min
Late Entry: 8 Levels (~8:30 PM/3:30 PM)
Day 1 Ends: 20 Levels or 5% of the field (Level 20 should end about 3 AM/11:30 PM)
The 4-Flight is among the most popular events of the series, and previous editions of the game have crushed local field size records. In January of this year, the field across all 4 starting days topped out at an astonishing 1,715 entries while last May's numbers hit 964.
The first flight gets going at 4 PM on Thursday with two more flights on Friday and a final shot at a bag on Saturday morning. Day 2 will pay out the big money on Sunday, but 15%-5% on Day 1 will also be heading home with money as Day 1 play goes until there are 5% of the field left, or until the end of Level 20, whichever comes first.
Entries are open for the first 8 levels of play on Day 1, which will put the last chance to enter at either 8:30 PM for the late start days, or 3:30 PM for the early start days. Day 1b & c of this event will be my focus on Friday, but for today, Day 1a won't get much coverage until after Event #2 is complete.
