Kevin Schell Wins Turbo after Chop Posted Tuesday 24th September, 2024 at 03:31(UTC-7) by Lyle Bateman

The final two players in the Turbo game decided on an even chop when they got heads up as blinds were pretty big and they were pretty close in chips. The chopped the pot evenly and played one all-in hand for the trophy which Kevin Schell took down, leaving him with the official win and the hardware. They got through the 94 entries pretty quickly tonight, as befits a turbo, with the final hand playing out about 8.5 hours after the first.

Kevin Schell 1,880,000 1,270,000
Bernard Buyar Out in 2nd Place for $4,378 After Deal Posted Tuesday 24th September, 2024 at 02:55(UTC-7) by Lyle Bateman

The final two players decided to cut a deal. They chopped the prize money straight up and played one hand for the trophy. Kevin Schell took that hand and the official win, leaving Berard Buyar in 2nd place tonight.

Amr Samy Out in 3rd Place for $2,321 Posted Tuesday 24th September, 2024 at 02:52(UTC-7) by Lyle Bateman

Amr Sany just took a bit of a bad beat to end his day in third. He had pocket queens against king-ten for Bernard Buyar. Buyar found a king on the flop and Samy couldn't find his queen to save him.

Buyar Shoves Flop Posted Tuesday 24th September, 2024 at 02:45(UTC-7) by Lyle Bateman

Bernard Buyar raised to 75k and Amr Samy called from the big blind. Samy checked the flop then reluctantly folded when Buyar shoved a covering stack.

Samy Doubles with Best Ace Posted Tuesday 24th September, 2024 at 02:32(UTC-7) by Lyle Bateman

Amr Samy raised to 75k from the small blind, then snap-called when Kevin Schell shoved a covering stack from the big blind. It was ace over ace with Samy on the king kicker against a nine for Schelll. The board missed both players to leave the big slick ahead.

Kevin Schell raised under the gun to 55k then called when Mo Omar shoved the big blind. It was a race between the pocket fives for Schell and ace-eight for Omar. The board missed both hands for the fives to stay ahead.

Little Turbo on the Side Posted Monday 23rd September, 2024 at 15:38(UTC-7) by Lyle Bateman

Event #8: $230 Turbo ($200 + $30)
Date: Sep 23, 2024, 6 pm
Start Stack: 20,000
Blinds: 20 Minutes
Late Entry: 9 Levels (~8:30 pm)

The side game on Monday is a $230 Turbo event. The action kicks off at 6 pm with a 20k start stack and 20-minute blinds. There are nine levels of late entry which should put the final chance to enter at about 8;30 pm this evening.

I won't be watching much of this one in the early stages as I'll be focused on the 6-Max game until it finishes, but I'll move over to the endgame of this one once a 6-Max winner is decided.
