Level 25: 30000/60000/60000
Entries: 1/90
The Turbo game is finished and Brandon Lui defeated Saroar Parvez after a short heads-up. Lui pocketed almost $6k for the win while Parvez picked up some much-needed points in the Player of the Year race in addition to his $3,760 consolation prize.
Level 18: 6000/12000/12000
Entries: 10/90
They are now on the bubble to the money in the Turbo side game with 10 players left in action. The clock is now paused for hand-for-hand action until the next bust.
Level 17: 5000/10000/10000
Entries: 12/90
They are down to 12 left in the Turbo side game, three spots off the money. It's likely this game will finish before the PLO does, so I don't think I'll have much time to cover this one much more than results and perhaps some final table pics when they get there.
Level 13: 2000/4000/4000
Entries: 24/90
They are down to 24 entries in the Turbo game now with Level 13 nearly complate.
Level 10: 1000/2000/2000
Entries: 36/90
There are now 36 players left alive in the Turbo side game with just over five minutes to play in Level 10. There are two more levels on the schedule after this one before the next break after Level 12.
Level 8: 600/1200/1200
Entries: 46/90
When they counted up the money it looks like there was one less entry than expected as the final tally was adjusted down to 90 entries for the Turbo game. There are still 9 places paid, but slightly less the $22k in prizes to play for.
Level 7: 500/1000/1000
Entries: 52/91
I am still waiting for official confirmation of the numbers, but it looks like 91 entries combined for $22,045 in prizes in the Turbo side tonight. If that holds, it means 9 players will be sharing those prizes.
Level 6: 400/800/800
Entries: 49/85
The Turbo game is on break and there are just over 10 minutes left to enter. They are up to 85 entries for a prize pool of $20,591 but I'll confirm the numbers when the prizes are posted.
Level 6: 400/800/800
Entries: 51/79
There is almost $20k in the prize pool now for Event #10 with about 15 minutes left in Level 6. This is the final level to enter the game, though entries will still be accepted through the break following this level.
Among the players in action here are the top two point leaders in the PoS race right now, Eric Wasylenko and Bash Ramahi. Meanwhile, Francis Fan is still playing a big stack in the PLO game so the race for Player of the Series is still very much on.
Level 3: 200/300/300
Entries: 44/50
The Turbo side game is up to 50 entries with action in Level 3 right now. That puts the prize pool at $12,113 with more than an hour left in entry. Just a reminder, this is the final chance in this series for Player of the Series points.
The side event on Thursday is a $290 Turbo game starting at 5 pm. The structure has an incorrect starting stack on it as players will sit down with 20k in chips instead of the advertised 15k. Otherwise, the rest of the structure is accurate with 20 minute levels throughout the day and entries open for about 2 hours and 15 minutes (6 levels of poker plus a 15-minute break).
This game will play down to a winner tonight, but it's very likely I won't have any bandwidth to cover it. The PLO game is likely to finish after the Turbo game, so I'll likely be busy on that one. However, I'll do my best to update numbers and the final results, and with any luck, I should at least be able to grab a winner's photo from this one.
