Sunil Mistri just shipped the Mega Series Main Event for £32,825 after nearly 14 hours of play on the second and final day of the event.

Sunil Mistri opened for 100,000 from the button. Dost Ghrabie three-bet to 250,000. Mistri jammed and Ghrabie thought for a moment before he called.

Ghrabie wound up with a full house on the board. However, with one of the board cards being a ten, Mistri improved to a better full house to win the tournament for £32,285.

Meanwhile, Mistri not only won the £22,347 runner-up prize but also won a Las Vegas package in the 'Spin to Win' promotion that took place when there were just 36 players remaining.

Yuval Rosenberg (pictured below) doubled his short stack twice. Once with fives against five-trey and another time with against to get his stack up to 295,000.

He jammed his 295,000 moments later with but needed a miracle after Dost Ghrabie called with .

Rosenberg connected with his ten on the flop but didn't get any further to pull ahead of his opponent's pocket rockets with the turn and river completing the board.

While Rosenberg was unable to complete a back-to-back Mega Series Main Event victory, he did get awarded with the handsome fourth-place prize of £12,173.

Meanwhile, Ghrabie grabbed the chip lead for the first time at the final table after being short-stacked moments ago.

The final three players asked for a 10-minute break after the hand.

No deal was agreed with Sunil Mistri asked for a little more than the ICM figures. Yuval Rosenberg just wanted to keep playing which put an end to the discussion until it is at least three-handed play.

Rosenberg tanked for several moments before he raised to 210,000. Da Silva then paused for about a minute before he called. Rosenberg turned over the nuts with and Da Silva mucked his cards.

Da Silva checked again. Channell bet 75,000. Da Silva tanked for a minute before he jammed for 147,000. Channell tanked for a couple of minutes before he folded and the dealer awarded Da Silva the pot.

Stearn held ace-jack and was unable to improve against Jung's ace-queen to hit the rail in 19th place for £1,780. Moments later, Iosef-Daniel Spulber hit the rail in 18th place. The final 17 players earned a pay jump to £1,985.

The action paused for nearly 10 minutes with Chris Da Silva having a big decision to make after jammed upon by Yuval Rosenberg. Da Silva kept asking when Rosenberg's birthday. Rosenberg remained stoic throughout and Da Silva eventually folded.

A crowd surrounded Winstone's table as the cards were being turned over.

Both players had an offsuit big slick and immediately the tournament director who was announcing the hand said: "Absolutely nothing is happening here," which got a laugh from nearly all of the players.

As the hand was being dealt, Wilson said: "I've already lost one of these today."

The two players chopped it up and the money bubble, which has been going on for more than 30 minutes, will continue.

The £225 Turbo Bounty has just kicked off with a tidy field of 12 players. Late registration will be open for the first six blind levels of 15 minutes each.

There were heaps in the pot when Gary Miller fired out for 35,000 with the on the board. Yuval Rosenberg raised to 100,000 and called after Miller three-bet shoved for 25,000.

Miller turned over for a full house. But his full house wasn't good enough as Rosenberg turned over to eliminate Miller with a better full house.

The action went hand-for-hand on the money bubble after this hand.

Another interesting fact was until now, all players that started the day on Table 6 were in action. They nearly all made the money but Miller also began the day at that table to break the streak.

The £175 Ladies Event attracted 34 entries to generate a £4,947 prize pool. A total of 10 entries busted during the late registration period, but each of them got back into the action with 24 ladies battling it out for the title.

The Main Event is on its second break of Day 2. The blinds will increase to 2,500/5,000 with a 5,000 big blind ante when the action resumes in 20 minutes.

It is expected that sometime before the next break, the money bubble will break with the top 20 players each guaranteed at least a £1,780 min-cash.

The Ladies Event has been hopping and let's just say it seems like all the women playing are having a good time laughing and cheering.

That being said, it hasn't been the smoothest start for seven of the women with the unlucky seven hitting the rail. All seven got back into play so the field is at 31 entries with 24 players remaining. We will try to provide more updates as the day goes on, but the action in the Main Event has been hot and heavy.

We caught up to the table when Belhao Wang with was collecting a massive pot of 425,000 against Chris Da Silva with with the on the board.

Da Silva shared with us after the hand that the chips went in on the turn. While this was a temporary end to the uphill tick on Da Silva's ongoing rollercoaster ride of a day, he is still in good shape with 300,000 despite getting his aces cracked.

Tommy Channell (pictured below) just won a massive pot against Andy Wilson as follows.

Channell bet 15,000 with a bunch of chips already in the pot with the on the board after the turn. Christopher Yong called before Wilson jacked it up to 67,000. Channell called and Yong folded.

Channell checked again on the river. Wilson jammed for more than the 208,500 his opponent had behind. Channell went into the tank for several minutes.

"You don't have the nuts," said Channell. "I have the king of diamonds."

After some more time, Channell found the hero-call. Wilson turned over and nearly got away with stealing away the pot. However, Channell turned over for the straight to win the hand and take the chip lead.

"I told myself this morning that I am here to win," said Channell. 

Meanwhile, we are getting closer to the money as we are just three players off after Eliran Argelazi hit the rail at another table shortly after this hand to leave just 23 players remaining and 20 players finishing in the money.

Keep in mind, earlier today Da Silva was below a starting stack and appeared to be slightly frustrated about losing a handful of flips. That has all changed as Da Silva extended his chip lead with just 26 players remaining with Danjel Petro also recently hitting the rail.

Schuman, who won the Mystery Bounty event earlier in this week for more than £7K and won the top mystery bounty of £7,500, the VIP package to the Malta Poker Festival in a little more than a week at Portomaso Casino from April 24 to May 1, and more bounties, shared that he was jammed upon on the turn by a player with queen-ten with both a queen and a ten on the board. No love came on the river and we will see Schuman in Malta.

Tommy Eriksson jammed for 50,000 from the button. Harry Lodge came in for a bit more from the small blind and the player in the big blind folded.

Lodge improved to trips on the flop and never looked back with the turn and river completing the board to send Eriksson to the rail. 

Meanwhile, Lodge began the day with less than a starting stack. Things have gone well, to say the least for the British poker beast as he had approximately 140,000 in chips after the hand.

Ladies Event

The Ladies Event has kicked off with a field of 15 players. The field will continue to grow with late registration open for six 20-minute blind levels. Players can re-enter for a fresh stack of 20,000 up to two times.

There are leaderboard points on the line for the final tournament for the coveted Las Vegas package.

Friend of PokerStars at the Hippodrome Lydia Cugudda (pictured below), Karen Arthur, Mary Bone, Charlene Coleman, Sophie Jackson, Jodie Kerr, Cerna Nilda, Rosarie Roberts, and recently busted from the Main Event Anya Stevenson are among the early players.

Players are on their first 20-minute break of Day 2. The blinds will increase to 1,500/3,000 with a 3,000 big blind ante when the action resumes.

Anya Stevenson (pictured below) was nursing a short stack for the last 30 minutes or so but lost her stack and is now on the rail. This is a good news, bad news situation for Stevenson.

Before the start of the day, Stevenson shared with us that she planned to play both the Main Event and the Ladies Event that is about to start at the same time as she is deep in the Ladies Leaderboard for a Las Vegas package similar to what Dost Ghrabie won earlier today.

While it is unfortunate that there are no more ladies in the Main Event, at least she can play the Ladies Event stress-free.

It wasn't a great orbit, to say the least for Fazeel Khan. He came into the final day with one of the bigger stacks in play but that quickly blew up as follows:

First, he doubled up Chris Da Silva as follows.

According to Da Silva, stacks went in the middle on a ten-high board. Da Silva had ten-seven and had some kicker issues with Khan holding ace-ten. A miracle seven spiked the river for Da Silva to double his stack.

Shortly after, Khan jammed for about 50,000 over a raise by George Demetriou with the on the board after the turn. Demetriou called and the cards were turned over.

Khan was unable to connect with his queen or with a spade with the river completing the action and was on the rail.

The next hand, the table laughed as Demetriou got a walk from the big blind and turned over his pocket sevens for the second hand in a row.

Colin O'Rielly (pictured below) opened for 5,000 from early position before Ken Chow three-bet to 12,000 from one seat over. O'Rielly called after the action folded around to him.

O'Rielly check-called bets by Chow of 5,000 on the flop and for 11,000 on the turn. Both players checked the river. O'Rielly turned over for the top pair and shipped the pot after Chow folded.

"I am still running good," O'Rielly said after the hand.

Vegas package winner Dost Ghrabie opened for 6,500 from the hijack. George Demetriou three-bet to 16,000 from the cutoff before Danjel Petro four-bet jammed for 32,000 from the small blind.

The action paused on Ghrabie until he asked if it was his turn. Once that was determined, he quickly folded. Meanwhile, Demetriou didn't seem to want to call but was priced in.

"I only have queen-three," said Demetriou. "I was trying to steal your chips," he added to Ghrabie.

Demetriou called and indeed he did have queen-three.

Emre Anil didn't show up for Day 2 and his short stack was blinded off to leave just 36 hopefuls in the field. The clock was stopped and the roulette wheel was spun. It came up Number 26 and Dost Ghrabie (pictured below) stood up and began to celebrate his amazing fortune of joining Team Hippo in Vegas this summer compliments of an amazing Las Vegas package that includes multiple tournaments, a helicopter experience, and much more.

The entire poker room gave Ghrabie a round of applause and the clock was started again with just a couple of minutes remaining in Level 13.

Danjel Petro opened for 4,500 from early position. Chris Da Silva (pictured below) three-bet for most of the 29,000 in chips he had in his stack. Petro four-bet jammed but thought that Da Silva was already all-in and turned over his cards. Da Silva called the floor to get a ruling before he called.

"I haven't won a flip all day," said Da Silva before the board was dealt.

Da Silva managed to win the flip this time to double his stack with Petro bricking the runout.

After the hand, the floor gave Petro a warning about exposing his cards.

Jack Buhlmann jammed the button for 27,500. Danjel Petro called before Alan Stearn came in over the top for a jam of his own for more than 100,000. Petro would have had to call off his stack and folded after deliberating for more than a minute.

Buhlmann was ahead after the flop and the turn. However, Stearn improved to a better two pair after the river completed the board and Buhlmann was on the rail short of the 'Spin to Win' promotion takes place.

Colin O'Rielly jammed for 29,500 from under the gun. The action paused on Andrew McKinney in middle decision before he decided to flat-call. The rest of the table folded and the cards were turned over.

O'Rielly was ahead after the flop but was down to just two outs after McKinney paired his king on the turn.

"Oh no," O'Rielly said.

However, the spiked the river to improve O'Rielly to a full house to double his stack instead of hitting the rail.

"I run so good!" shouted O'Rielly.

Players not only at his table laughed but at other tables as well.

"Usually you don't hear that," one player was heard saying at another table. "Normally people only complain about how bad they run."

Meanwhile, French poker legend Sylvain Loosli has hit the rail to bring the event down to just 38 hopefuls for the title.

Defending Mega Series Main Event Champion Yuval Rosenberg (pictured below) bet 22,500 into a pot of more than double that with the on the board after the river. PokerStars at the Hippodrome Ambassador Chris Da Silva thought things over for close to a minute before he called.

"Got it," said Rosenberg as he turned over the for the nut flush.

Meanwhile, Adebayo Adeoshun and Ben Teague hit the rail around the same time at a different table to bring the field down to 39 players.

Jen-Yue Chiang opened for 5,000 from under the gun and was called by Joe Bold from the button. Jorge Palomino jammed for 59,500 from the big blind. Chiang paused before he folded while Bold found a call.

Players have chosen a random number for the 'Spin to Win' promotion hosted by the Hippodrome. After three starting flights, the action is down to just 42 hopefuls from the original field of 141 entries in the hunt to become the latest Mega Series Main Event champion that will be crowned by the end of today's action.

Today will feature a deeper structure of 50-minute blind levels and will have plenty of play with the players starting off the action with an average stack greater than 50 big blinds. Half of the field will reach the money with the top 20 players guaranteed at least a min-cash of £1,780. However, all players have their eyes on the lofty £32,825 top prize and the coveted Mega Series trophy on tap for the last player standing.

There will be quite the buzz before the bubble as the final 36 players. The Hippodrome added massive value to the Main Event prize pool thanks to a luxurious Hippodrome Las Vegas prize package to the final 36 players getting a chance 'Spin to Win' where one random player will win an experience to remember. Each of the final 36 players will receive a random number on a wheel. If their number is hit, the lucky player will ship the prize regardless of whether they finish in the money or not.
