As you may be aware, COVID-19 is currently affecting travel to certain areas, and travel advice and precautions have been put in place by the relevant authorities on those jurisdictions. At the current time it is ESSENTIAL that you check any travel restrictions in place within your own country, and any country you plan to travel to.
As a UK based company, we follow the advice and precautions issued by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). While we will update or customers as quickly as possible on future development relating to the virus, we suggest keeping self-informed at the FCO website https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice
The FCO is currently providing the following advice:
As countries respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, including travel and border restrictions, the FCO advises British nationals against all but essential international travel. Any country or area may restrict travel without notice.
FCO travel advice remains under constant review to ensure it reflects our latest assessment of risks to British people. Find more information about how we put FCO travel advice together and make decisions on advising against travel in our travel advice guidance page.
As countries across the globe start to welcome visitors we advise our customers to assess the risks before travel and to make sure they plan accordingly. This includes, but is not restricted to, booking accommodation that is cancellable, ensuring you have adequate medical and travel insurance in place at the time of booking, checking the FCO (or equivalent in your county) website before travel, taking a suitable supply of any prescription medications that you have and mitigating risk by choosing to fly on a direct route where possible.
Any requests for cancellation or alterations to packages booked with us will be dealt with by us on a case by case basis, where travel is to a country that issues a travel warning to visitors as per The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. Anyone with non-package bookings is subject to the specific cancellation dates on that booking.
