Elton Tsang Wins €1 Million One Drop in Monte Carlo

ELTON TSANG WINS FIRST €1 MILLION ONE DROP EVENT IN MONTE CARLO
Canadian-born, Hong Kong-dwelling Elton Tsang has won the amateurs-only €1 million buy-in “Big One for One Drop Invitational” in Monte Carlo for €11,111,111 – the third biggest prize in poker history. 
Tsang, who was coached by high stakes regular and Italian #1 Mustapha Kanit, beat Russian Anatoly Gurtovoy heads-up. Rick Salomon, Britain’s James Bord, Cary Katz and Andrew Pantling were the other four players to get a share of the €24,888,892 prize pool.  There were 28 entries in total.
 
The event, held in the beautiful 153-year-old Casino de Monte Carlo, attracted 28 entries in total was the biggest buy-in tournament ever staged. More than €3.1 million was raised for founder Guy Laliberté’s One Drop charity, dedicated to providing sustainable access to safe water. The action continued Monday with a €1,000,000 cash game and €100,000 freeze out.
