Where will your Poker Travel take you in September?

Poker fans have a lot to look forward to next month with exciting events in the US, Europe, the UK and Asia. Wherever you plan on playing, MainEventTravel has your back with global reach and an innovative calendar feature that makes it easy to organise your poker travel.

Well-known tours like the WSOP Circuit, the GUKPT, partypoker MILLIONS plus the ESPT and UKIPT all have festivals going on next month. There are also some great tournaments happening in Vegas including PokerGO and the Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza.

Vegas

The toasty Vegas temperatures of July and August are somewhat abated by September making this a great time to visit if you want hot, but not TOO hot! September has a feast of action – as per the details below.

Bellagio Kickoff Classic

The Bellagio Kickoff Classic runs from August 31 to September 10 and features over $800,000 in guaranteed prize pools. The Main Event, which starts on September 7, is the $3,500 Bellagio Classic Main which has a prize pool guarantee of $500,000. Players get a generous 50K starting stack with blind levels set at 60 minutes. The schedule also includes a $600 Seniors event, numerous NLH tournaments and two $600 Mystery Bounty tournaments.

PokerGo

The PokerGo tour has a major festival in Vegas next month – the PGT Masters and the PGT Super High Roller Bowl VIII. PokerGo tournaments are not for the faint-hearted though with buy-ins of at least $10,000. The tour aims to become one of poker’s most exclusive series, celebrating elite professional poker players in a similar fashion to the ranking systems of the world’s most renowned professional sports. The PGT Masters, which is taking place at ARIA from September 14 to 26, is a series of 10 events with the player who earns the most PokerGO Tour points awarded the Poker Masters Purple Jacket and the $50,000 championship bonus. The top 40 players as ranked by the PGT leaderboard at the end of the season will qualify for the season-ending PGT Championship $1,000,000 freeroll. The Masters culminates with Event 10, a $50k buy-in NLH tournament. The $50k ARIA High Roller starts September 27 and the $300k PGT Super High Roller Bowl VIII on September 28.

Venetian Deepstack Vegas
The Venetian continues its exciting roster of deepstack events with the
DeepStack Extravaganza Poker Series III. Taking place in sumptuous and stylish surroundings, the Venetian’s poker series was the first to provide players with a true deepstack experience – more starting chips, a better structure, and longer levels. The next edition runs from August 28 to October 1 with more than $2 million in guaranteed prize pools. Highlights include two Mid Stakes Poker Tour Main Events. The first, which is running September 6-8, has a $250k prize pool guarantee and costs $1,100 to enter. Hot on its heels is the second MSPT Main Event, a $400k guaranteed tournament with a $1,600 buy-in taking place from September 8-10. Overall, there are 50 tournaments on the schedule including two Seniors events, numerous PLO and bounty tournaments plus a Survivor event.

MSPT – Mid Stakes Poker Tour
In addition to the two MSPT Main Events taking place at the Venetian (detailed above), the Mid Stakes Poker Tour also has its own standalone 11-day festival in California starting on September 14. The Sycuan Casino Resort event in San Diego features more than $550,000 in prize pool guarantees and 18 trophy events including a $100k two-day Mystery Bounty (with three start flights) and the $300k Main Event starting on September 21. The MSPT first launched in 2009 and was conceived as a series of affordable deepstack NL Limit Hold’em tournaments for "weekend warriors." The tour is geared toward recreational players but plenty of big-name poker pros have taken their shot at a MSPT title over the years including a bunch of Europeans such as Sergio Aido, Erwan Pecheux, Marvin Rettenmaier, and Ludovic Geilich. More than $160 million has been awarded in prize money to date.

UK

GUKPT Luton

The second GUKPT Luton of the year gets underway at the Grosvenor Casino on September 14 with a packed schedule of tournaments planned for Leg 7 of this year’s tour.

As well as the flagship £1,250 GUKPT Main Event and £340 Mini Main tournament, other highlights include the £560 Midi Main tournament, a £2k High Roller, a £3k Super High Roller and the £550 GUKPT Cup.

This is the Season 17 of the GUKPT, the UK’s longest-running tour. The next Luton stop runs from September 14 to September 24. In addition to the 10 live tournaments, the final “The Closer” tournament will take place online at Grosvenor Poker at the end of the festival.

Grosvenor 25/50s

Upcoming stops in September for Grosvenor’s £50,000 guaranteed 25/50 tournaments include Leeds III, Edinburgh III, Reading South and Blackpool (all taking place September 6-10) plus London Victoria from September 28 to October 1. Featuring an online Day 1 option, the £250 buy-in tournaments are geared towards recreational players with starting flights on the Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (turbo Day 1d). UKIPT Brighton & London

PokerStars iconic UKIPT tour is heading to the south coast next month for a six-day festival at the Rendezvous Casino in Brighton from September 5-10. Event highlights include the £2,200 UKIPT Brighton High Roller from September 6-7, the £1,100 Main Event starting September 7 and the £330

UKIPT Cup starting September 9. Team Pro Nick Walsh lives in Brighton so he’ll definitely be in attendance amongst a host of other well-known players. Later in the month the tour heads up to the UK capital. UKIPT London runs from September 19-24 with a similar schedule to the Brighton stop. The festival is making the most of its West End location: tournaments will be taking place at both the Hippodrome in Leicester Square and the Dilly in Picadilly.

Aspers Autumn Festival

Aspers Casino Stratford in London is planning a packed schedule for next month’s Autumn Fest with a £150,000 guaranteed Main Event as well as a host of other tournaments.

The festival is taking place from September 25 to November 8 at the celebrated Stratford Casino and features a ton of satellites along with a £600 buy-in Main Event, £150 Mini Main, £2k High Roller, 4/5/6 PLO event, a £150 + £150 + £40 Mystery Bounty and a £150 + £150 + £40 Progressive Bounty on the final day.

The £600 buy-in Main Event features four start flights – including a Day 1d turbo with 15-minute levels. Registration is open until the start of Day 2 with three re-entries allowed per flight. All players receive a 30,000 starting stack. On Day 2 and the final day, the blind levels will be 60 minutes.

Europe

September is a perfect place to visit Europe with days still very warm and balmy but the end of the school holidays making accommodation far more affordable.

MILLIONS Malta

partypoker’s MILLIONS Malta, which runs from September 23 to October 3, is a definite one for the diary and is the first MILLIONS event since June 2022. Held at the prestigious Casino Portomaso, this fab festival features a range of events, including the €550 Grand Prix, the €3k buy-in MILLIONS Main Event and the €5,300 High Roller. With clear, blue skies, constant sunshine and awesome parties, Malta is the perfect September destination. If you miss the MILLIONS, it’s less than a month until the €1 million guaranteed Battle of Malta which kicks off at the Intercontinental Hotel on October 17 and the Malta Poker Autumn Festival at Portomaso Casino starting on October 23. After the Malta Poker Festival Spring Edition exceeded expectations, MPF announced an increased guaranteed prize pool for the Autumn Grand Event with a whopping €500,000 on offer! The MPF Spring edition saw 1,226 entries in the Grand Event, creating a prize pool of €586,760. Scotland’s Lewis Coffin emerged as the victor, pocketing €100,600.

ESPT Malaga

PokerStars is back in action in Spain next month with another edition of its popular Estrellas Poker Tour. ESPT Malaga runs from September 14-24 at Casino Torrequebrada. Key dates include the €500 buy-in CEP Main Event, the €1,100 Main Event from September 20-24, the €2,200

ESPT High Roller and the €330 ESPT Cup. Malaga is the gateway to the Costa del Sol and a great tourism destination – with stunning architecture and a historic city centre characterized by narrow streets and charming squares. The city is also Picasso’s birthplace and the Picasso showcases a remarkable collection of his works.

WSOPC

There are two WSOP Circuit events next month – in Tallinn from September 14-24 and in Rozvadov from September 20 to October 10. WSOPC Tallinn is the first ever World Series Of Poker Circuit festival in Northern Europe with 12 WSOP Circuit Rings up for grabs and a €1 million guaranteed prize pool for the €1,500 Main Event. The festival features more than 30 side events along with round-the-block cash game action. WSOP Circuit Tallinn takes place at the luxurious Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel and Olympic Park Casino from September 14-24.

Next up on the WSOP Circuit is a trip to Kings Rozvadov – something of a warm-up for WSOP fans before the WSOP Europe festival gets underway at the end of October. With 12 rings on offer and a €1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event, the WSOP Circuit event will be an exciting festival in its own right. The busy schedule includes the €500k guaranteed WSOPC Monster Stack, NLHE Lucky7s, Pot Limit Omaha - Bounty Hunter and €250 buy-in Mini Main. The €1,700 buy-in Main Event starts on October 6.

WPT Prime Liechtenstein and Madrid

The WPT’s new Prime series has been designed to combine the premier poker tournament experience of a WPT Main Tour stop with affordable and more accessible buy-ins. First up is WPT Prime Liechtenstein, which gets underway on August 30 at Grand Casino Liechtenstein. Liechtenstein is a tiny but charming European principality nestled between Switzerland and Austria. With a rich cultural heritage, its central location also makes it a convenient base for exploring neighbouring countries. The WPT Prime Main Event has a CHF 1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and starts on September 6 with six starting flights. The schedule features numerous other tournaments including a PLO event, High Roller, Deepstack and Mystery Bounty.

WPT Prime Madrid is running from September 28 to October 1 at Casino Granvia with a €1,100 buy-in Main Event. There are 14 tournaments on the schedule including a Bounty Confidential, Seniors 50+ and even a €3,200 high Roller. The season culminates with the WPT Prime Championship in Vegas at the end of November.

Heading East

The Asia Series Poker Tour has a stop in Taiwan next month starting on September 1. ASPT Taiwan

Is taking place at the Asia Poker Arena and promises some unusual and quirky variants across ten days of non-stop poker action. The series will be highlighted by a Main Event, which boasts an impressive guaranteed prize pool of NS$ 7,000,000. The schedule includes Crazy Pineapple Turbo, Stud Mix, Triple Draw, Hold’em Accumulator, Big Bet Mix and Short Deck NLH.
