What’s on in September!

After a relatively quiet August, poker really gets going next month with events right across Europe plus many more poker tournaments worldwide. Highlights include GUKPT Leeds, Redtooth Poker Tour Malta, the first Super Stack High Roller in Spain, WPTDeepstacks Vilamoura and Unibet Deepstack Open Vienna.

Cash Game Festival off to London!

Following a fantastic event in Bulgaria, Cash Game Festival off to London with a five-day sojourn at Aspers Casino in Stratford from September 20-24. Cash Game Festival is organised by people passionate about poker, parties and traveling. The Cash Game Festival offers 24/7 cash games with live online broadcasts straight from the two televised feature tables. 2017 has seen the tour grow to 11 events and the last event in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria filled almost all available tables at the casino.

 

Redtooth Poker Tour

After a sell-out Leg 2 in Bournemouth in August, the Redtooth Poker Tour is off to Malta in September. This debut European stop takes place at Casino Malta in the bustling resort of St Julians from September 15-18.

Following a record-breaking Goliath in Coventry, Grosvenor Casino’s popular GUKPT is back on the road with the £100k guarantee GUKPT Leeds running September 10-17. It’s a welcome return for the Leeds leg which had to be cancelled last year after the casino was badly damaged by floods. Stephen Foster won the 2015 edition after beating a 249-strong field for a £24,500 first prize. High rolling in Spain for Super Stack

The first Super Stack Spain High Roller is running at Casino Torrequebrada in Malaga from August 30 to September 3. With a €300 + €40 buy-in, this event offers a lot of fun for Super Stack regulars and new players. There are three start days for the Super Stack Spain High Roller with the final 1c flight starting at 8.30pm on Friday, September 1. Players are allowed two re-entries per Day 1. Super Stack will be back in Malaga in late September for a regular edition of Super Stack Spain.

 

WPTDeepstacks Vilamoura

Located close to numerous championship golf courses, Vilamoura is a haven for golf players and a multitude of other attractions include a great marina with plentiful bars and restaurants as well as beautiful white sand beaches stretching for miles along the coast. The €200,000 guaranteed Main Event kicks off August 31 with a €1,100 buy-in. September also sees two WPTDeepstacks events in the States: WPTDeepStacks Immokalee from September 8-10 and WPTDeepStacks Oklahoma running September 22-25.

partypoker MILLIONS Russia is heading back to Russia next month for a huge event in Sochi from September 6-14. After smashing its $1 million Main Event guarantee in March, partypoker LIVE is now putting a $9,000,000 guarantee on the September schedule – including an amazing $5,000,000 guarantee Main Event starting September 9.  MainEventTravel has great rates at the partypoker-recommended Marriott Sochi Krasnaya Polyana Hotel – with eight nights for just $627. partypoker LIVE will also be in Ireland for partypoker Grand Prix Killarney which runs September 7-10.

 

Unibet DSO
Unibet Deepstack Open is hosting a fantastic event at Montesino Casino in Vienna from September 21-24. With an average of 500 participants at previous DeepStack Opens held at the Montesino, UDSO Vienna this is the leading destination for German, Italian, Swiss and French players on the UDSO circuit.

Mega Poker Series
The MegaPokerSeries returns with a stop in the famous Banco Casino in Bratislava. Lying close to both Vienna and Budapest, the Slovak capital is one of Europe’s most vibrant cities with tons of affordable bars, restaurants and nightclubs. MegaPokerSeries Bratislava runs September 13-17 with a €700 Main Event as well as €250 Mini.

WPT Borgata
The $3 million guarantee WPT Borgata is running September 17-22 with a $3,500 Main Event at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City. American pro Daniel Weinman won the record-breaking WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open last February and celebrated his 29th birthday with a monster cash of $892,433. WPT Maryland Live! also takes place next month, with a Main Event starting September 22 in Hanover.

WSOP on tour

The WSOP International Circuit is hosting a record number of stops as part of its 2017-18 schedule and has three events taking place in September: Campione  from September 1-1, WSOP Brazil from September 27 to October 4 and King's Casino in Rozvadoz from September 28-October 18. There are already 13 confirmed stops lined up this year, with additional stops expected to be added to the 2018 portion of the calendar.

 

WSOP Brazil, sponsored by partypoker LIVE, will be running September 27 to October 4 in the spectacular Bienal pavilion in Ibirapuera Park in Sao Paulo. This is partypoker’s first live event in the LATAM region where poker has been enjoying spectacular growth; more than eight million Brazilians already play poker, with over a million new players taking up the sport every year. The first WSOP Brazil event last year attracted more than 12,000 players across the eight-day festival. Among those set to compete is partypoker Ambassador and Brazil #1 Joao Simao.

 

World Cup of Cards is back!

After a fantastic debut last year, the World Cup of Cards is back at Canada’s famous Playground Poker Club in Montreal with an even bigger and better edition. There are two PokerStars Festivals in September: PokerStars Festival Uruguay running September 16-23 in gorgeous Punta del Este and PokerStars Festival Dublin. PokerStars Festival Uruguay, the third and final Latin American stop of 2017, is sure to be one of the biggest PokerStars Festivals of the year, held in one of Uruguay’s most stunning resorts. PokerStars Festival Dublin at the end of the month is taking place at the Regency Hotel and includes a €700,000 guarantee Main Event. Take your pick from a variety of tournaments in a range of buy-ins - suitable for players of all levels!

 

MEGASTACK, PokerStars’ great new tournaments series for recreational players which launched in London in April, heads to France with La Grand Motte MEGASTACK from September 7-10 and then hosts a debut stop on the Iberian peninsula with Valencia MEGASTACK from September 13-17. Namur MEGASTACK is in France from September 13-17 and Sheffield MEGASTACK is running September 22-24 at Genting Casino.
