By Mad Harper

One of the WPT Deepstacks’s most exciting events in Europe takes place this month when the tour heads to Amsterdam for an eight-day festival at Holland Casino.

We’re the tour’s Official Travel Partner so let us help you find great accommodation in beautiful Amsterdam.

This is the fifth consecutive year that the WPT has hosted an event in the Dutch capital and the third WPTDeepStacks event here. The 2019 festival, which runs March 23-31, promises a wealth of poker action for players of all kinds with 22 tournaments in total – including seven satellites – and buy-ins as low as €100.

The highlights of this year’s festival are undoubtedly the €1,200 WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam Main Event and the €2,200 WPTDS High Roller event. The Main Event starts on Thursday, March 28, and has three starting flights. The first two have 40-minutes blinds and take place on March 28 and 29 at 2 p.m. The third flight takes place on March 29 at 8 p.m. and will be played as a fast-chance format with 20-minute levels. Registration is open until the start of Level 10, and players are allowed one re-entry per starting day.

The packed schedule also includes a Progressive Bounty tournament, various hyper turbos, a €340 PLO tourney, and €330 Shortdeck event. The WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam festival will use the big blind ante format in all events, starting with the €560 buy-in WPTDeepStacks No-Limit Hold’em Warm Up on March 23.

The last WPTDeepStacks Main Event saw Cypriot player Christos Economides win €74,760 after beating a field of 250 players.

Holland Casino is located in the heart of Amsterdam, between the Leidse square entertainment district and the museum district making it a fantastic base for your trip to this exciting capital.
