The WPT has announced WPT Amsterdam as the first European event of Season XVI, taking place May 5-13 at Holland Casino Amsterdam.

This the WPT’s third consecutive visit to the Netherlands with a €3,300 Main Event featuring two starting flights with one re-entry per flight. In addition, WPT Amsterdam also features a European debut for WPTDeepStacks. The WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam €1,500 Main Event kicks off the festival and runs May 5-8, beginning strategic global expansion for poker’s premier mid-major tour.

The Season XVI WPT Amsterdam schedule contains a two-day €6,000 High Roller that runs May 8-9, plus several other great tournaments such as the €750 Pot-Limit Omaha, €550 Crazy Pineapple, and €2,000 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo.
WPTDeepStacks
WPTDeepStacks will also, for the first time, be running a standalone WPTDeepStacks Player of the Year contest for Europe. The new WPTDeepStacks European Player of the Year will earn a package that includes €15,000 worth of buy-ins for WPT Main Tour events in Europe, a €5,000 WPTDeepStacks Europe sponsorship package for WPTDeepStacks Main Events in the region, and a custom trophy. The WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam series champion will also earn a seat into the season-ending WPTDeepStacks event in Europe, plus €500 for travel expenses.
