UK Poker Open set for spectacular return in 2024

By Mad Harper

When the UK Poker Open launched last year, it immediately broke records as the biggest Grosvenor tournament ever held. With a £1,500 buy-in, the Main Event attracted more than a thousand entries and created the biggest prize pool in Grosvenor poker history.

The dates have now been set for next year’s UK Poker Open which will run from February 22 to March 3 at the Grosvenor Casino Coventry in the Coventry Building Society Arena. The Main Event starts February 28 with a prize pool estimated to top £1 million.

Full schedule details are yet to be published but are likely to include player favourites such as the GUKPT Cup, UK Open High Roller, Ladies Championship, Mystery Bounty and the Mini UK Open.

The Grosvenor’s Coventry casino venue, home to the annual Goliath festival – is rated as one of the country’s top casinos and its central UK location and great transport links make it an easy travel destination for players from all over the country.

Given the event’s popularity, it makes sense to bag your accommodation as soon as possible with MainEventTravel.com, Grosvenor’s Official Travel Partner. Our competitive rates mean you can lock in your stay from as little as £31 a night.

In the debut UK Poker Open this year, Man Moc (pictured below) won a life-changing first prize of £325,190 – the biggest Grosvenor prize ever. Just before receiving his trophy, he said “I still can’t believe that I’ve won. It was such a hard final table, really really tough. I was just thinking “ladder, ladder, ladder” and before I knew it, I was the chip leader!”
