The Czech pro, who finished fifth at the WSOP last year for £1,935,288, has 4,198,000, giving him a healthy lead over Poland’s Bartlomiej Machon on 3,059,000 and British players Tom Hall on 1,943,000 and Chris Backhouse on 1,798,000. There were 110 entries in all (including four new Day 2 players and 13 re-entries) with 11 players getting a share of the £1,067,000 prize pool. The tournament was due to end last night but after 15 hours of poker – and four still left at 4am – it was decided to go into an unscheduled extra day to play to a winner. All four remaining are guaranteed at least £139,900. Play resumes at 3pm with a cards-up live stream on Twitch (on 30 min delay).
partypoker MILLIONS Main Event
Day 1D of the partypoker MILLIONS Main Event drew to a close last night with Neal Murphy in the lead, bagging up a massive 6,790,000. There were 204 entries yesterday and 88 players are through to tomorrow’s Day 2.
The live Day 1e of the £6 million guaranteed Main Event takes place today and a huge field is expected. With a guaranteed first prize of £1m, the partypoker MILLIONS Main Event, which ends Sunday, is already proving to be one of the most exciting tournaments ever to take place in the UK.
Among those competing are PCA champion Dominik Panka, partypoker Ambassadors Boris Becker, Patrick Leonard and Padraig Parkinson plus Dominik Nitsche, Dzmitry Urbanovich, Paul Newey, Marcel Luske, David Vamplew, Griffin Benger, James Akenhead, Roberto Romanello, Max Silver, Liv Boeree, Toby Lewis, Ludovic Geilich, Dara O’Kearney and Luke Schwartz.
A host of online satellites and online and live Day 1s across Europe have already created a giant field for Day 2 of the event.
