Oleg Vasylchenko wins WPT Prague

Ukrainian player Oleg Vasylchenko has won the partypoker WPT Prague €3,300 Main Event for $145,420. The event, held at the Grandior Hotel Prague, attracted 167 entries creating a $551,100 prize pool. Oleg Vasylchenko led the way into both Day 3 and the final, eventually beating Anton Petrov heads-up. As well as his first place prize, the biggest of his live poker career, Vasylchenko also wins a seat in to the Tournament of Champions event at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Florida next April. Vasylchenko’s previous best cash was tenth at EPT Deauville last year.

Among the other 20 players who cashed were finalists Romain Lewis and Martin Kabrhel, popular online poker coach Alex "Assassinato" Fitzgerald - eighth for $17,204, Marc-Olivier Carpentier, Dmitry Gromov and Marc Macdonnell. WPT ambassador Tony Dunst finished ten off the money.

The next WPT event is the Borgata Open in Atlantic City from January 17 to February 3.
