MainEventTravel to partner the MPN Poker Tour as Official Travel Partner

By Mad Harper

MainEventTravel (MET) is delighted to be adding the popular MPN Poker Tour to its roster of valued clients for 2019.

The MPN Poker tour is one of the leading poker tours in Europe and has previously visited destinations as varied as Sunny Beach in Bulgaria, Malta, Tallinn, Bratislava, Mazagan  Resort in Morocco, Sofia and Vienna.

The partnership with MainEventTravel gets underway at the MPN Poker Tour’s very next stop in stunning Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. This is the MPN Poker Tour’s first visit to the Czech capital and a ton of fun is promised during the four-day event. The festival is taking place May 2-5 at Casino Rebuy Stars in the beautiful Baroque-era, 18th century Savarin Palace.

The partnership with MainEventTravel will now make it easier than ever for players to sort out all their travel needs for the MPN Poker Tour. The service will include helping seat-only qualifiers and direct buy-in players reserve rooms in Prague as well as helping online package winners with flights and airport transfers. Package winners – who get four nights’ accommodation at the lovely Hotel Grandium – can also use MainEventTravel to sort out longer stays in the city – whether they want to arrive a few days early to get in some sight-seeing or extend their visit after the tournament finishes. The Hotel Grandium is located in the heart of Prague and lies close to all the top attractions including Old Town Square, the National Museum and St Charles Bridge.

The flagship event of MPN Poker Tour Prague will be the €550 buy-in Main Event which comes with a €200,000 guarantee. Also on the schedule is a €55 side event, and the €220 Hendon Mob Championship.

The MPN Poker Tour started in May 2014 with a three-day festival at Aspers Casino in London, followed by a well-attended festival in September 2014 at Portomaso Casino in Malta. Since then, the tour has grown massively. At the first event this year, in Tallinn, the Main Event attracted 562 entries and was won by British player Luke Martin for €51,000. The tour is operated by the MPN and powered by Microgaming, the world’s largest online casino software supplier. Microgaming has a long history of organising high quality poker events.

MainEventTravel Managing Director Fraser MacIntyre, who is himself a semi-professional player with over $750,000 in live tournament winnings, said: “We’re thrilled to be joining forces with the MPN Poker Tour. This is an incredibly successful tour which genuinely achieves its goal to host events that are ‘fun, friendly and affordable’. We look forward to helping everyone heading to MPN Poker Tour Prague – including flights, transfers and extra nights for package winners. Prague is an incredible city and we know MPN’s hundreds of players are going to have a great time there in May.”

MPN Events Manager Richard Cunningham said: “We’re delighted to confirm MainEventTravel as the Official Travel Partner for the MPN Poker Tour. Our events are all about having fun and having MET as a partner means our players can focus on the all-important fun stuff and be reassured that their travel and accommodation requirements are in safe hands. We are very excited about our forthcoming stop in Prague, our first time in the Czech capital. Prague is not only a very beautiful city, it also has a ton of great bars, clubs and restaurants and a fantastic party atmosphere.”
