The EAPT continues its European tour. The next stop is Malta at the island nation's capital from April 5-10 with a total guarantee of over €300,000.
Since its summer relaunch, the EAPT has positioned itself as a low-cost weekend series. Small buy-ins, a weekend schedule and an evening start time make for a productive day on holiday, you can enjoy the sun and take in the sights in the morning and afternoon, then show off your poker skills to your opponents in the evening.
Schedule
The EAPT in Malta will be a real highlight in this regard. The series runs from April 5th to 10th with buy-ins starting at €70 and many events starting after 17:00.
EAPT Malta guests will be offered a schedule of five tournaments, two of which will be multi-day events, and three side events.
- Flight to MPP - April 5-7 / €120 buy-in, €50,000 guarantee + 1 trip to the EAPT Grand Final worth €5,000. The title may be confusing, but this is actually a regular multi-day tournament with a low buy-in and a solid guarantee. Players can make it to the final day of play through any of the four starting flights, with everyone already in the money on the final day.
- Main Event - April 8-10 / buy-in €560, guarantee €200,000 + 5 packages to the EAPT Grand Final. The EAPT Main Event has the familiar buy-in and structure for all EAPT guests: 4 starting flights, each played to ITM. After 20-40 minute levels, all surviving players advance to Day 2 and play until the end. The main tournament has a satellite schedule, both live at Portomaso Casino and online at GGPoker (more on that below).
The other three EAPT Cup tournaments in Malta are single day events:
- PLO Bounty [50Ko] - a low cost (€120) tournament for Omaha enthusiasts with an instant €50 payout for every opponent knocked out;
- The High Roller is EAPT Malta's highest stakes event with a €1,100 buy-in and a €25,000 guarantee. It takes place on the final day of the series;
- Closer Event - For those who find the High Roller tournament too expensive, the festival's Closer Event will start at the same time. The buy-in is just €120 and the guarantee is €10,000.
