The Irish pro, whose wife Lisa is six months pregnant, took $172,645 for his victory after dominating the final table. There were 256 entries overall, generating a $691,200 prize pool. Silver’s victory now brings the UK’s 2017 WSOP bracelet haul to four, following wins by Liv Boeree, Chris Moorman and Chris Brammer.

Silver, who has now cashed three times at this year’s WSOP – including $73,510 for sixth place in a $3k No Limit tourney – said: "I can't really describe it. It's always been a dream for me to win a bracelet. I've come third, sixth, ninth...whatever. It's nice to get the win. I haven't had a big win in a while.”

He now has 25 WSOP cashes to his name and total live tournament winnings of nearly $3.5m. This morning’s win jumps him up two places in the UK all-time money list to #17. His biggest cash to date remains the $432,960 he won after taking down the Aria High Roller two years ago for.

Jack Allen finished 12th in the $1,500 No Limit tourney (event #52) for $21,982. Allen lives in Nottingham and is a regular at Dusk Till Dawn. Unibet London champ Pratik Ghatge – who was eighth in the $2,620 Marathon for $70,590 – finished in 31st place for $9,107 while Ross McLeod was 47th for $6,316. There were 1,580 entries with $364,438 for the winner.
