By Mad Harper

A brand new poker festival aimed at both tournament and cash game players is about to host its first event in Malta.

Cash Tour is a unique hybrid of exciting live-streamed cash games and novel tournaments such as a heads-up team event with Wild Cards, a Ladies Turbo Sit and Go and a High Rollers’ Wild Card Turbo Sit and Go.

Needless to say, cash games will also be running 24/7 during the festival which runs March 15-18 at Casino Malta in the buzzing resort of St Julians. Malta is fast becoming one of Europe's top poker destinations and March is a great time to visit with Spring-like days and plenty of sunshine.

Players will be treated to a spectacular Welcome Party at the start of Cash Tour on March 15 before the first live-streamed cash game gets under way at 9pm. Action resumes on Friday, March 16 with the main cash game, Day 1 of a unique €220 buy-in heads-up freezeout and the Ladies Sit and Go.

In the Heads-up event, two-man teams will take turns against randomly selected opposing teams. In each round of 20 minutes, players will be given two wild cards which they can use at their discretion to take a peak at one of their opponent’s hole cards.

The €550 High Roller Sit and Go takes place on Saturday, March 17. This is another unique event in which every player gets two wild cards. If a player doesn’t like the look of the river card, they can swap it with one of their wild cards.

Cash Tour is planning satellite tournaments for the Malta event in several poker rooms and also plans further stops in Tallinn and London later in the year. For more information including where to stay in St Julians, click Cash Tour and check out our wide selection of flights and hotels.
