One of Europe’s most successful and popular low buy-in poker events kicks off on November 2 with the pokerlistings.com 2017 Battle of Malta. Now in its seventh edition, this year will feature a record-setting number of tournaments, parties and activities.
BoM 2017, which is being held at Portomaso Casino in the fun-loving resort of St. Julian’s, has nine different tournaments and €650,000 in total prize pool guarantees – spread across the €500,000 guaranteed Main Event, the Siege of Malta Second Chance and the Grandmaster High Roller.
The Main Event, which runs November 2-7, will once again feature a live stream of the final table on the last day. The 2017 BoM also marks the debut of its first-ever Ladies Event along with new host Gaëlle Garcia Diaz. Other events including a €220 Knight Crusader Plot Limit Omaha event and €165 buy-in Crazy Pineapple.
The off-the-table schedule has also been expanded with opening cocktails, the signature VIP party, a pool party, "Knight Life" Speakeasy drinks and more.
Last year Sweden's Robert Berglund outlasted 1,813 entries in the Main Event to win €160,000 from the €875,000 prize pool.
