All go at Dusk Till Dawn!

By Mad Harper

Dusk Till Dawn, the celebrated poker room in Nottingham, has a host of great events coming up over the next few months including the Road to PSPC, and Grand Prix UK.

The club was launched in 2007 by avid poker player Rob Yong who decided to build his own venue after he and a friend were turned away from a poker tournament for being one minute late. It was designed “specifically as a place to poker” and has stayed true to its roots ever since. The 45-table venue now hosts some of the biggest tournaments in Europe – including the UKIPT, the APAT World Championship of Amateur Poker, partypoker’s Grand Prix tournaments and the MILLIONS UK. The club also has a ton of cash game tables starting from as low as £1/£1 NLHE and PLO.

MainEventTravel is the ideal place to find Dusk Till Dawn tournament info and local hotel accommodation all in the same place. Mark Valentine said: “We’re all very big Dusk Till Dawn fans at MainEventTravel. They have created the perfect home for British poker in Nottingham. It’s a superbly professional venue.” Click here to see the forthcoming Dusk Till Dawn schedule.

Road to PSPC

The next big event on the Dusk Till Dawn calendar is the PokerStars’ Platinum Pass bonanza, the Road to PSPC. This series of low buy-in live events has been taking place all over Europe and beyond, and is now heading to Nottingham for its next stop from August 25-29. The Road to PSPC Main Event has a buy-in of just £340, giving all players the chance to win a $30,000 trip to the Bahamas to compete in next January’s $25k PokerStars Players NL Hold’em Championship.

In addition to the Main Event buy-in, the $30k Pass includes six nights’ luxury hotel accommodation and $1,900 in cash towards expenses. The schedule at Dusk Till Dawn includes two £35 satellites as well as the £120 Big Bounty PSPC Special. At the last Road to PSPC event in Dublin in July, Irish player John Howlett beat a 68-entry field to win €22,700 along with the $30,000 Platinum Pass.

Grand Prix UK
Players who missed out on July’s Grand Prix UK get another chance in September when PartyPoker LIVE hosts the popular event at Dusk Till Dawn. Once again, Grand Prix UK will pay out a guaranteed £100,000 prize pool for a buy-in of just £120. There will be four days of online starting flights before the first Live Day 1 takes place at Dusk Till Dawn on Thursday, September 8. Four further starting flights will be held over the next two days before Day 2 on Sunday, September 11, where the tournament champion will be crowned. All players who reach Day 2 will cash.

At the last Grand Prix UK, Beihao Wang won £25,000 after outlasting a field of 1,507 players. All the final table players locked in payouts of at least four figures.

Dan Rose, PartyPoker’s Head of Live Events, said: “We’re loving the fact that the PartyPoker Grand Prix UK is becoming a regular part of the Dusk Till Dawn schedule. The low buy-in, high-guarantee events, alongside numerous satellites, allow players of all bankrolls the chance to win big. We hope to see lots of new and familiar faces at our next Grand PrixUK.”
