Alan Sternberg leads final of WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Finale

Former WPT champion Alan Sternberg is leading the last six players in the $10k, $2m guarantee Seminole Hard Rock Poker Finale

Sternberg, who won WPT Bay 101 Shooting Stars in 2011 for $1,039,000, is leading the chase for the $716,088 first prize with 4,605,000 in chips. There were 349 players creating a  total prize pool of $3,315,500 with 44 getting paid. The first prize includes a $15,000 seat in the WPT Tournament of Champions which starts on Friday (April 7).

 

Also still in contention are WSOP Main Event champion Ryan Riess, Jason Koon, November Niner and PCA runner-up Cliff Josephy and Jason Koon.

 

Among those who fell on Day 3 were former PCA winner Harrison Gimbel, EPT Deauville champion Jake Cody, Will Failla and former WPT winner Marvin Rettenmaier.

 

After the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions (April 7-9), the tour takes a short rest before heading to China for WPT Beijing which will take place April 15-19 at the stunning NUO Hotel Beijing.

 

Then it’s off to the Netherlands for WPT Amsterdam, the first European event of Season XVI, taking place May 5-13 at Holland Casino. This the WPT’s third consecutive visit to the Netherlands with a €3,300 Main Event featuring two starting flights with one re-entry per flight. WPT Amsterdam also features a European debut for WPTDeepStacks with the WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam €1,500 Main Event running May 5-8.
