Countdown to 888poker Live Bucharest

By Mad Harper

Following a highly successful start to 2019 with the season-opening Kickoff event at Aspers in London, 888poker LIVE is off to Bucharest next month for the first full-blown festival of the year.

Powered by PokerFest, the 888poker LIVE Bucharest Festival promises to be a first-class event in a fantastic poker-friendly city. The flagship Main Event starts March 6 and costs €888 to enter for a €300,000 guarantee. In addition to a monster first prize, the eventual champion will also walk away with a prize package to this year’s WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas.

MainEventTravel is again the Official Travel Partner for 888poker LIVE and will be looking after the travel needs for all the 888Live qualifiers as well as arranging accommodation and flights for dozens of other players.

All of the 888poker ambassadors will be attending Bucharest including Dominik Nitsche, Chris Moorman, Martin Jacobson, Ana Marquez and Vivian Saliba. Last year’s 888poker LIVE Bucharest winner was local hero Andrei Racolta who won €71,042 on home soil after beating a 469-strong field.

888poker LIVE Bucharest runs at the 5-Star Intercontinental Hotel Bucharest from March 4-10. As well as the Main Event, the stop includes a two-day €230 buy-in Opening Event with a €50k guarantee, numerous satellites, a turbo bounty tournament, a Ladies Event, €1,700 High Roller and two-day €330 buy-in Deepstack.

Over the summer, 888poker LIVE – and MainEventTravel – will be back in Las Vegas once again to join forces with the World Series of Poker for both the 888Live WSOP Crazy Eights and the 888Live WSOP Main Event. In addition to the World Series, 888poker LIVE plans a fantastic schedule for 2019 including 888poker LIVE Barcelona from May 22 to June 3 and 888poker LIVE Vienna in October.
